Technical textiles are all around us. Most people view textiles
strictly as clothing, upholstery, drapery and carpeting, however,
textiles are also an engineering material.
Technical textiles are not always visible and many not comprise
100% of the product, but they are an integral component of many products.
They are used for insulating homes, strengthening tyres on cars,
repairing damaged organs and damaged tissues in people, protecting
emergency workers, purifying the air we breath and so on.
