Sales
Sales are about persuading shops to buy what you have made.
Sales staff need to know what other manufacturers have on sale in
shops, and have to be always looking at different ways of selling.
They also need to know what sort of people they are aiming their
goods at – how old they are, where they shop, and what sort
of things they want to wear.
They may be trying to get shops to buy their goods because they
are the cheapest, the best value for money, the most fashionable
or the best quality.
Sales staff work closely with all departments, and customers too.
A knowledge of foreign languages can be useful in dealing with overseas
markets.
