Welcome to the Textile Lifelong Learning website – TL3.

This site has been developed with the aid of the European Social Fund and is designed to introduce students to the modern textile industry in West Yorkshire.

There is a wealth of information plus interactive quizzes to test student’s knowledge. A glossary is included to translate any unfamiliar technical terms.

The site is constructed to enable students to work unsupervised or can be used by teachers to prepare lessons. To access the teachers section click here.

Textiles are created from many sources from wool to wood and future developments are expanding the uses of textiles into space travel, construction and medical innovations to name a few.

The site also looks at the wider effect of textile production on the environment and on us as individuals.
